Assignment investigates maternal health in Pakistan.

Jill McGivering follows the work of Dr Nighat in a maternity hospital in Pakistan as she deals with daily reality of neo-natal death and poor facilities for pregnant women.

According to figures from the UN a woman in Pakistan dies almost every half an hour because of problems from pregnancy or childbirth.  

Most women in Pakistan cannot afford to buy proper medical care.
