Their new housemates are no-nonsense octogenarians determined to drive home a crash course in independent living. How will beer-swilling Chris, an unemployed gardener from Hertfordshire, adapt to living with Pat, an 82-year-old devout Christian who strongly disapproves of drinking? 

And what happens when high-flying headhunter Laura gives up her expensive lifestyle for a week to move in with a thrifty 85-year-old ex-aristocrat called Eve?
