He's a household name among those under 25, simply because many of them use the learning app named after him. And later this year, kids in the UK and US will have heard of BYJU's. It's India's latest unicorn- startups worth more than $1bn. In an Indian tech scene dominated by e-commerce, BYJU's stands out. It's an educational app backed by Mark Zuckeberg's personal investment fund, China's online giant Tencent as well as some of Silicon Valley's top venture capital funds. BYJU's is turning the traditional Indian model of education on its head by using technology to instil a love of learning in its subscribers.
