The third film begins with a look at the 1960 Open, regarded by many as the greatest Championship ever when Arnold Palmer emerged as the most charismatic player of the modern era. 1960 coincided with Jack Nicklaus's first appearance at the Open and the expansion of television coverage, both of which helped the burgeoning Championship. Using exclusive interviews with Palmer and Nicklaus, this programme examines each of Nicklaus's four wins in detail. The programme also encompasses the spectacular capitulation of Palmer in 1966, the dramatic victory of Ken Venturi, the incredible title winning round of Johnny Miller, the two victories of Lee Trevino and the great Open career of Hale Irwin.
