The second film in the series looks at how the 1930s produced U.S. Open Champions who were hardened by the Depression. It will focus on Ben Hogan who won the first of his four titles in 1948 and three more after a crippling car accident. It will also look at the victories of others to conquer financial hardship to win the title (there are exclusive interviews with Jack Fleck and Billy Casper) and looks at the amazing Open career of Sam Snead who never managed to win. Using extremely rare archive never seen before, the film also examines how the Open developed in terms of media coverage as it overtook the Open Championship in Britain. Show less
