After Hamas’s offensive on the Israeli villages around Gaza strip which led to the killing of nearly 1200, Israel launched an operation on the strip and it’s been going on for more than 100 days.

During the first month, the Northern part of Gaza was the deadliest area as thousands of people were killed and injured. As the death toll rises, the pressure on the Palestinian Red Crescent Society paramedics has been extreme.

So far, 8 paramedics were killed during the war, 4 of them were killed during the first month while doing their job on the ground. PCRS accuses the IDF of targeting their crew everywhere in Gaza and they published a hashtag called #wearenotatarget .

The film exclusively goes deep into the personal lives of four paramedics while operating in the Northern part of Gaza during the first month. Each of them has a different story.

Mahmoud El-Masry lost his father who is also a paramedic and was killed during a recue mission on the 5th day of the war. Mahmoud couldn’t recognise the body of his father after the incident because it was totally burnt.

Like many in Gaza who lost some of their relatives, paramedics weren’t an exception. Our second character is Alaa who was called to pull the body of his cousin from under the rubble of their family house. The house was hit couple of days before the filming and 20 people of Alaa’s family were killed.

The emotional and mental toll on the paramedics has been on the rise as the situation worsened.

Rami who can’t stop thinking about his daughters. He moved them after the 7th of October from the North to the Southern part of Gaza and one of the rescue missions he worked on reminded him of his daughters and starts to cry on camera.

Mohamed Mekkawy who worries about his mental health after this war despite that he appears strong and reassuring his colleagues. Show less
