An epic Jewish family saga set in Manchester in 1905. Avraham has found work in one of the many cramped garment factories in Strangeways, whilst Sarah finally has a home of her own. Their bright son David has his barmitzvah coming up and is determined to get an education. But with financial worries never far away, will this future be possible?
