American Madison Keys was a popular winner last year, claiming her second title at this event after her first victory in 2014. Jelena Ostapenko is the other former Eastbourne champion in the draw, and she’s one of a number of Grand Slam winners involved, along with 2022 Wimbledon singles champion Elena Rybakina and former French Open title-holder Barbora Krejcikova.
