The presenters undergo difficult training sessions on the shores of County Down before beginning their epic adventure in the tranquil quay of Bunbeg in north west Donegal. They head out to the beautiful Gabhla island, where Tessa learns about its sombre abandonment and the encouraging signs of a brighter future for returnees.
