Heartbroken following the tragic loss of her husband of 50 years, Mridula found support from her best friend, Megha. Living life to the fullest, the two widows have decided to sell their possessions together to fund the holiday of a lifetime – a trip to Japan.

The ladies hope to swap their trinkets for Tokyo and make enough money from selling their gold to afford the expensive airfare. Auctioneer and jewellery expert Izzie Balmer has news about one precious stone that leaves them shocked. She also discovers something surprising hiding in the bottom of a teacup that may very well take the women from tea leaves to cherry blossom trees.

In Mridula’s garage, restorer Robin Johnson makes an emotional discovery – her late husband’s tool chest which he built while working as an apprentice engineer. The wooden box holds as many memories as it does tools, but with some sympathetic restoration it could nail some big bids at auction. Will it prove too sentimental to sell? Or is the fixer-upper destined for another loving home?
