Emerald receives a stark call from the Godfather of Rock. Planet Rock is starting to crumble. The power of rock has never been weaker. He tries to encourage Emerald to not give up but she’s beginning to worry. The feed finally cuts out. No pressure!

Meanwhile, Andy is furious – they were sabotaged! Rio tries to help with a fortune cookie but it’s only advice is ominous. It’s no use, this is game over.

The Odd Socks confront Emerald about working for their rivals and she comes clean to reveal a bag of bolts, screws and sellotaped drumsticks – evidence of the sabotage. She was actually confronting Sandy, not working with him. She’s trying to help. But this still doesn’t answer pretending to be their manager. Emerald gives up and finally reveals to the band her secret mission. She fires up her comms and the band are greeted by the Godfather of Rock.

Emerald is his Goddaughter, sent down from Planet Rock to help guide the Odd Socks to victory in the Battle of the Bands competition. Planet Rock is in trouble and if the Odd Socks were to lose, their home would be no more. Sandy and the Same Socks cannot win. While the Odd Socks feel too much damage has been done, they’re inspired by the wise words of the Godfather of Rock. Their music inspires kids to be themselves and find their own true voices. The future of rock depends on the Odd Socks.

Backstage, Whiff’s been settling into his new role as a member of Sandy and the Same Socks. Believing himself welcome and bound to be a rock star, Sandy’s confused that Whiff actually took him seriously. Given a triangle, Sandy pushes Whiff into the background. And when Sandy announces that their next competition performance will be a rendition of the Odd Socks song ‘Falling Out’ Whiff isn’t happy. They can’t just steal other people’s songs. That’s not true rock. Told to keep quiet if he wants to be a rock star, Whiff’s conflicted. But his conscious wins out – this isn’t right! He’s telling. Sandy panics and locks Whiff into a kit cage. To add insult to injury, Sandy steals Whiff’s cheesy puffs! Whiff glares. He’s wronged the wrong roadie.

As the Odd Socks get ready for the next round of the competition, they meet Sandy backstage. He’s smug, giving Andy a runner-up badge. Sandy can’t help but tease them about Whiff before leaving. The Odd Socks panic. Where is he? Hearing Whiff’s distant cries, they find themselves at a crossroads. They can’t leave Whiff in danger! Telling Emerald to stall for them, the band race to save their roadie.

First to the stage are Sandy and the Same Socks. But as Mac breaks Whiff free of his cage using the unlock-a-locker tool, Whiff exacts revenge, by pulling a large lever to shut off the power to Sandy and the Same Socks on stage. Their backing track stops. Sandy panics and tries to keep playing but it’s useless. They’re humiliated on stage and chucked off to a chorus of boos.

It's time for the Odd Socks but they’re nowhere to be seen. In the wings, Emerald heeds advice from the Godfather of Rock to take to the stage herself. She begins to play, wowing the crowd. The Odd Socks arrive to see Emerald rocking out. She’s brilliant. Well of course, she’s from Planet Rock. They join her in a thunderous rendition of ‘Stargazer’. The gig-o-meter goes off the charts. They win Battle of the Bands and save Planet Rock, much to the thankful plaudits of the Godfather of Rock. They did it!

Mission complete, Emerald’s space pod flies off into the sky. Goodbye Emerald. But she’s actually decided to stay behind. Maybe she could play with them again sometime. They’d love that! But wait, if Emerald’s here, who’s in the space pod? Whiff’s revealed to be racing through space! The band chuckle, all united. Who’s in the Odd Socks? We are! Show less
