Newfoundland Sylvie is a big therapy dog with big soft cuddles who loves to help people when they’re worried. She and her owner Katrina visit all sorts of people every day, young and old.
Sylvie and her owner Katrina are helping a girl called Akilah, who is joining the local school after arriving from a foreign country. Lots of things will be very different for her, so Sylvie will need her super heart to make her feel as welcome as possible. After meeting Akilah and her mum, along with Fred the teaching assistant, Sylvie takes her to the school hall for some lunch, stopping to admire some artwork along the way.
Then Sylvie acts as Akilah’s furry tour guide on a whistlestop tour of the school, including a trip to the library, before guiding her to her new classroom to meet the teacher and all her new friends. There will be lots of new faces, and everyone will be talking in a language she’s still learning - but with Sylvie and her super heart by her side, Akilah is sure to make lots of friends. Show less
