Diesel is a hearing dog for his teenage owner, Rayane, who is deaf. This means he does not hear everything. Diesel is trained to listen out for important sounds that Rayane might miss. Diesel is Rayane’s ears. Together, they are unstoppable!

Rayane is playing the detective in the drama club play, and Diesel is going to be right by his side as his trusty police dog. At the theatre, Diesel helps Rayane and his friend Grace practise for something called a 'cue' - their big moment to go on stage. Diesel must give Rayane a nudge when he hears two rings from a big red telephone. But during the show, someone’s phone goes off in the audience!
