Julie Fowlis and Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh present highlights from two decades of the legendary music show, ‘Transatlantic Sessions’. This programme features performances by musical stars from Scotland, Ireland and the US, including Béla Fleck, Liam Ó Maonlaí and Martha Wainwright.
Fans of ‘Transatlantic Sessions’ can see two icons of music perform together as Sam Bush joins Dónal Lunny on “Cúnla” and Julie performs the popular Gaelic song “Smeòrach Chlann Dhòmhnaill” alongside a cast of world-class musicians. Aly Bain, one of the musical masterminds behind The Sessions, closes the programme and series with a high tempo set of tunes with Mike McGoldrick and Dezi Donnelly on “Kid on the Mountain”.
