Vinny Hurrell hears about the work of Compass Advocacy Network (CAN) which provides advocacy services for young people and adults with learning difficulties. Vinny is at the charity’s new purpose built Lislagan Centre near Ballymoney. He meets with some of those managing the centre and some of the service users to hear about the positive impact this place is having.
He meets some of those working in the centre’s gardens and attends one of the practical craft workshops. Vinny also hears how CAN’s agenda is to enable people to speak up with confidence and to facilitate delivery of their message to policy makers about how decisions made by government impact on them.
