The whole NBA season comes down to this: the NBA Championship finals, the first match-up in a best of seven series between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat.
This is familiar territory for the Heat, who have been involved in this season-ending climax five times since 2011, winning two. However, this is uncharted waters for the Denver Nuggets who have reached the final for the first time in their history.
Miami Heat were pushed all the way in the Eastern Conference finals, edging out the Boston Celtics 4-3. Western Conference table toppers Nuggets had a relatively straightforward route to the final, beating the LA Lakers in a 4-0 clean sweep.
