In this special documentary, BBC Newsround reporter Ricky Boleto explores the life of King Charles III, ahead of his coronation on Saturday 6 May.

He travels to London’s Brick Lane to meet eight-year-old Issa and his father, Abdal, who moved to the UK from Bangladesh as a child. They discuss why the King’s commitment to bringing people from different backgrounds together is important for a modern Britain.

Ricky also heads to a sheep farm in Cornwall to meet seven-year-old Grace and her mum, Isobelle. He finds out what the King’s support of rural communities and farming families means to them and others who live in the countryside.

As well as finding out about Charles’s childhood and turbulent family life, Ricky explores what kind of king he will be, and what life will be like with King Charles III as the head of state. Show less
