The Duffer Brothers, Peaches, KD Lang, Benjamin Clementine and many others share their memories to celebrate Kate Bush’s debut album, The Kick Inside, with the record played in full across the hour.
The Kick Inside was released on the 17th of February 1978, when Kate was just 19 years old. It included some songs she’d written when she was only 13.
It’s an extraordinary debut, and to this day, nothing sounds quite like it.
The album’s lead single, Wuthering Heights, was the first UK number one song performed and written by a female artist.
