Many of us will seek legal advice in our lifetime, and some of us will need a lawyer to represent us in court. This series follows the work of law firms in the north of England, as they guide ordinary people through extraordinary times in their lives.

Having recently moved with her family from the Cayman Islands, Jamaican-born Sam is faced with the threat of removal from the UK. Immigration lawyer Liaquat Latif takes on the case, but is it too late to prevent Sam being torn away from her husband and child?

Former soldier Kevin was convinced to invest his savings by people claiming he could get better returns on his armed forces pension. But before long, it looked like all his money was lost. Financial mis-selling solicitor Emily needs to gather all the evidence to get Kevin’s hard-earned pension back. Show less
