Combining the role of artist and interviewer, Heather Dewar creates colour portraits of well-known Gaels – while teasing out of them every little detail of their life story!
In this programme, Heather is back on Islay in Kilchoman where she meets Morvern McPhee. Morvern was brought up on the island and now works there as a teacher. Her great-grandfather was Donald McPhee who, along with his brother John, saved several people from the Otranto after it was wrecked off the west coast of Islay in 1918.
