Islay-born artist Heather Dewar returns to our screens with Dealbhan Fraoich. Combining the role of artist and interviewer, she creates colour portraits of well-known Gaels, while teasing out of them every little detail of their life story!

Heather travels to South Uist where she meets Liam Crouse. Liam hails from the east coast of America but came to Scotland in his late teens to study, drawn by his love of the bagpipes and an interest in his Scots heritage. Liam is a big part of the island’s community and is a member of the society that works to protect the Scottish breed of pony known as Eriskay Ponies.
