Duration: 1 hour

First broadcast: on 6 MusicLatest broadcast: on 6 Music

Pale Waves' Heather brings you her handcrafted indie mixtape.

Heather Baron-Gracie has made her mark on the indie scene as the lead singer and guitarist of Pale Waves. They signed with Dirty Hit in 2017, and the following year featured in the BBC Sound of 2018 poll, won NME's Under The Radar Award, and released their debut album 'My Mind Makes Noises'. Their second album, 'Who Am I?', topped the UK Independent Albums Chart and saw Heather actively address her sexuality, her identification with the LGBTQ+ community and themes of self-acceptance. Now they're back with their third album, 'Unwanted'.

In this episode of Indie Forever, hear Heather delve into the indie music that has shaped her over the years, talking through the tracks she's fallen in love with and why.

Featuring music from the likes of The Cure, Mazzy Star, Phoebe Bridgers, Ezra Furman, Sufjan Stevens and more. Show less
