Bells on Sunday comes from the church of the Holy Cross Daventry in Northamptonshire. The Palladian design of this Grade One listed building is said to have been modelled on St Giles in the Fields in London. The tower holds a ring of ten bells, the oldest of which is dated 1738 by Thomas Eayre* and has a Tenor bell weighing eighteen and three quarter hundredweight and tuned to E flat.
