Dom gets to work on the farm and in the factory, finding out what it takes to fill our freezers with peas, the UK’s favourite frozen food. His mentor is James Hopwood, an agriculture manager for one of Britain’s biggest frozen food manufacturers. In rural Yorkshire, he finds himself up to his elbows in the world of modern farming, collecting samples, walking the fields and bringing in the harvest with a state-of-the-art pea picking machine. He also gets hands-on at ‘The Giant’ in Hull - one of the largest pea-freezing factories in the world - helping coordinate the harvest, testing the peas at quality control, and finally getting them frozen. Can he hack it at harvest time in one of farming’s most logistically challenging operations? Show less
