In the final episode, Steve looks back at his top predators from the series and meets the ultimate predator.
He reviews the biggest and best stunts from the series and reveals how the team bought a giant air vortex cannon to the junkyard to demonstrate the predatory prowess of the sperm whale. And he demonstrates the strength of a bear with an unseen stunt that sees a massive boulder hauled into the air and then dropped on his caravan.
Steve also had some extraordinary animal encounters, and we left one epic encounter until last! While filming tuna in Pembrokeshire, the team spot a rare Portuguese man o’ war out at sea. This elusive predator is a first for the show, and Steve is excited about getting up close to this unusual creature.
Steve also looks at two Deadly icons that are at the top of the weapons chart - the komodo dragon and the harpy eagle. We look back at Steve’s wild encounters with these extraordinary animals from previous adventures, and in the den, Steve demonstrates how they use their weapons with some destructive experiments.
He then looks at the environmental problems facing some of the series’s deadly predators. In Pembrokeshire, Steve sees first hand how the global plastic waste problem is affecting the gannets nesting on Grassholm Island, and in the junkyard, he demonstrates how plastic is even affecting our largest deadly predator - the sperm whale.
