Anna Massie encounters recently formed communities around Scotland to find out how they have blossomed and brought folk together locally and worldwide. She visits the repair cafe at Boat of Garten in the Cairngorms. Anna has come prepared with a torn jacket and some blunt tools for repair. She meets her fellow customers waiting to get everything from a well used food mixer to a CD player lacking volume fixed and gets hands on with tool sharpening.

She also finds out from the organisers how the repair cafe came about and the important role it plays in the small community and beyond. Show less
