Kate Humble and Ben Fogle are back at Longleat Safari Park with the latest stories of the wonderful exotic creatures that call it home.

Today, an update on Willow the baby aardvark. She has been hand-reared since her unscheduled arrival last year, and now it’s finally time for her to rejoin her family. It’s potentially a risky operation as she has only ever known life with the keepers, and no one knows how the family will react. Will she be welcomed with open arms, or will they see her as a threat? The keepers decide to install CCTV cameras to monitor the enclosure, but it’s not long before another problem threatens this family reunion.

Kevin and Janine, the park’s secretary birds, have been together for four years as a breeding pair. Sadly, there have been no chicks, which is worrying as the breed has just been added to an international endangered species list. But there is a glimmer of good news this year: keepers have spotted some eggs in their nest.

The keepers are always coming up with wacky ways to keep their animals active and encourage natural behaviours. Today, Ben is helping keep the camels on the ball by introducing them to the beautiful game, but can he convince them to play? Jean Johansson is on hand to release a new species into the park, and she also gets an update on the recently born pygmy goats. Show less
