Dom Digs In

Series 1

Water

Duration: 44 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC One OxfordshireLatest broadcast: on BBC One Scotland

Available for years

Dom jumps in at the deep end as he goes to work with one of the country’s biggest water companies. He traces the flow of this precious resource from the reservoir to the streets and into our homes and businesses, before finding out what we do with our wastewater at the other end of the system. His mentor is Becky Trotman, a senior press officer who has been working at the company for the last seven years. Across the UK, water companies provide us with 16 billion litres of clean water every day and manage 11 billion litres of sewage, so keeping taps on and toilets flowing is a massive job. Will Dom take to it like a duck to water, or will he end up having an absolute stinker, as he learns what it takes to keep this essential operation running? Show less
