Cuireann John tús lena thuras i nDún na nGall, áit a mbuaileann sé leis an tiománaí railí, Gavin Kelly. Sula dtéann John ar thuras gasta agus casta le Gavin sa charr, tugann Eamon McGee ceacht gairid do John faoi chomh-thiomáint railí. An mbeidh John ábalta coinneáil suas leis?

Ansin, leanann John ar aghaidh ar a thuras go dtí an Mhainistir Liath i gCo. an Dúin, áit a mbuaileann sé le foireann na mainistreach agus leis an chraoltóir, Caoimhe Ní Chathail chun níos mó a fháil amach faoi charachtar suimiúil ón dara haois déag atá thuas ar bhalla na mainistreach, Seán na Gig. Cuireann Gary Dempsey John ar an eolas faoi thionscadal faoi leith atá ar bun aige chun taighde a dhéanamh ar na dealbha seo.

Chomh maith leis sin uilig, beidh John i mBéal Feirste ag fiosrú a chuid DNA le comhairle agus cuidiú ó Stephen Carson in Ollscoil na Banríona. Tá John fiosrach faoi stair a shloinne agus nochtann Seosamh Mac Muirí an t-eolas dó.

In the first episode of the series, John begins his journey in Donegal and meets rally driver Gavin Kelly. However, before John gets behind the wheel, Eamon McGee gives him a quick lesson in rally co-driving. Will John be able to keep up?

John then travels on to Greyabbey in County Down, where he meets the Greyabbey team and broadcaster Caoimhe Ní Chathail to find out more about an unusual character from the 12th century on the wall of the abbey - Seán na Gig. John also meets Gary Dempsey, who is involved in a project that will tell us more about these figures.

Onwards to Belfast and John looks into his DNA with a little help from Stephen Carson at Queen’s University. Curious about his surname and its origins, John meets with Seosamh Mac Muirí to find out more. Show less
