Tha ath-fhiadhachadh no ‘rewilding’, seòrsa de ghlèidhteachas a tha ag amas air fearann a thilleadh gu stàit nàdurra, air nochdadh anns na meadhanan glè thric bho chionn ghoirid ach chan ann gun chonnspaid. Le grunn oighreachdan ag obair air bith-iomadachd a bhrosnachadh, tha Annabel NicIllFhinnein a’ rannsachadh dè dìreach a th’ ann an ath-fhiadhachadh agus a’ faighneachd ciamar a tha an sealladh a th’ aig cuid airson na Gàidhealtachd a’ freagairt air na daoine a tha a’ fuireach air an fhearann. Chan eil teagamh nach eil a’ bhliadhna mu dheireadh air a bhith duilich agus dùbhlanach agus mòran air buaidh a’ phandemic fhaireachdain ann an dòigh air choireigin. Do chuid tha e air a bhith a’ ciallachadh atharrachadh ann an dòigh beatha agus an cuid obrach – atharrachadh a tha feadhainn a’ ràdh a tha air a bhith buanachdail agus a dh’fhaodadh maireachdainn. Tha Angela Nic’Illeathain ag aithris.

With several estates working to restore native habitats and promote biodiversity, Annabel Maclennan investigates what rewilding actually means and asks how the vision that some have for the Highlands also incorporates the people that live there. Without doubt, the past year has been difficult and challenging and many have felt the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. For some it has meant a change in their lifestyle and jobs, changes that have been beneficial and could last. Angela Maclean reports. Show less
