Pizza chefs Jez and Ieuz are best mates with a big dream. They’ve bought an old Italian van, named it Smokey Pete, put an oven in the back and are ready for the adventure of their lives. Their destination is Parma, Italy, where they’ll compete against the best pizzaiolos on the planet at the Pizza World Championships. To get there, they’ll cook and eat their way across Europe, taking inspiration from incredible food and flavours, all gearing up for the challenge ahead.
Jez and Ieuz continue exploring glorious San Sebastian, a place renowned for its golden coastline and gastronomic delights. They team up with a local expert to get the inside track on the city’s best tabernas and discover why pintxos are a speciality here. Firing up Smokey Pete’s ovens, the boys create new pizzas they hope will impress a gastronomic society who consider pizzas an ideal dish for children’s parties!
Then it’s time to hit the road onto Bordeaux which means one thing - wine! Next stop is Agen, a town twinned with Llanelli, and a strong rugby area, which is great because these two are rugby boys. But do they have what it takes to keep up with Les Prunelles and the challenge of feeding them after their local derby?
