Keepin 'er Country

At Christmas

Duration: 59 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC One Northern Ireland HDLatest broadcast: on BBC One Northern Ireland HD

Nathan and Jake Carter host a festive country music-inspired celebration from their stunning Fermanagh home. The musical duo perform a host of their favourite Christmas tunes and introduce some very special guests, including Lisa McHugh, Robert Mizzell and Cliona Hagan.

For the Carter brothers, Christmas means family, music and craic, and whilst this year might be a little different, the brothers are determined to celebrate the only way they know how – a good old sing-song. Even though they can’t go on tour as normal, they can still play to an audience, with some of their biggest fans joining them via Zoom for a festive treat.

In preparation for the holidays, Nathan and Jake put their hands to decorating the house, including trying to find a Christmas tree grand enough to stand in the hallway. They attempt to bake some tasty treats, and they reminisce about Christmases past, and the toys Santa never delivered when they were young.

The brothers are joined by Lisa McHugh, a self-confessed Christmas fanatic, Robert Mizzell, who is playing a very important role for some of his youngest fans, and Cliona Hagan, who gives a stunning performance of a much-loved Christmas carol. Show less
