Saddled

Street Justice

Duration: 28 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Radio Scotland FMLatest broadcast: on BBC Radio Shetland

The members of The Easy Riders cycling club gear up for more tales from the cycle lane in our 2nd series of Saddled.

The group dynamic is still underpinned by the rocky marriage of Mark & Dawn. Both are making a more concerted effort to be open with, and supportive of, each other. But old issues still rear their heads as they continue to see the world in very different ways, and the group learns that Mark and Dawn are able to cause even more chaos together than they ever did apart.

While Jack has left the group to attend a Buddhist retreat (to deal with his ‘Dawn issues’), new boy Robbie brings a puppy-ish enthusiasm, and intelligence, to the group. Francis still lacks the basic human qualities to be group leader, Brennan is as angry as ever, despite opening his “bike shop SLASH café”, and Sue’s moods continue to be snack-dependent.

In this episode Brennan (Richard Gadd) declares war on motorists who don’t give cyclist enough room on the road, and a viral clip of a confrontation leads to national interest from a radio talk show host.
