Three entrepreneurs come together to discover what our cast of customers think of their inventions. Joined in the studio by presenter Lucy Alexander, the inventors watch footage of customers as they unbox, test, review and score their precious products. In today’s episode, we meet Melanie, Chris and Tony, all hoping to receive the highest scores from the customers to be crowned today’s winner.
Mum-of-three Melanie came up with her idea with husband and childhood sweetheart Frank. When Frank wanted to give his daughter an ice cream in her expensive pushchair, Melanie was only too aware of the mess it could create. Unable to find anything that would adequately cover the child and buggy, Melanie created her own pram bib that she hopes will wow the customers.
Inspiration struck Chris when he was trying to defrost his freezer without flooding the kitchen floor. He has come up with a super-absorbent sponge and cloth that can hold up to 12 times as much water as a normal sponge.
Tony’s love of playing football was to provide the inspiration for his idea. Finding he often had to leave his bag unattended pitchside, and with no lockers to hand, he wanted a secure way to keep his bag safe while he concentrated on the game. So he invented a unique sports bag with three anti-theft elements to deter would-be thieves.
Once all three inventors have watched the customer reviews and given their own thoughts on the feedback, Lucy reveals who has won the coveted The Customer Is Always Right winner’s trophy. Show less
