The Customer Is Always Right

Series 2 (Shortened Versions)

Episode 8

Duration: 28 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC One HDLatest broadcast: on BBC Two Wales

Lucy Alexander is joined by three inventors to watch footage of customers as they unbox, test, review and score their precious products. In this episode, we meet Kyle, Paul and Alison, all hoping to get the highest scores from the customers and be crowned the winner.

Having failed to find a successful treatment for his acne, Kyle Frank took matters into his own hands and decided to make his own product. Through trial and error and a stint on a Prince’s Trust enterprise programme, he came up with his invention: an ethically and sustainably sourced vegan skincare range. Former TV engineer Paul was fed up with his hand luggage constantly falling from the top of his suitcase as he made his way through the airport, so he has designed a simple rubberised board which fits over the handle of any suitcase to create the perfect platform for a second piece of luggage to sit on. Despite loving the walks, Alison hated having wet and dirty dogs to take home in the car. She came up with the idea of a doggie drying coat which has a double layer to keep her furry friends clean and dry as well as her car.

After all three inventors have watched the customer reviews and given their own thoughts on the feedback, Lucy reveals who has won the coveted The Customer Is Always Right winner’s trophy. Show less
