Peter Jackson with rugby winger Glen Webbe

Duration: 28 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Radio Wales ExtraLatest broadcast: on BBC Radio Wales Extra

Rugby World Cup hat-trick hero Glen Webbe has retained a sense of humour and irony in the face of some cruel treatment in the game he loves. He was sent home from the first Rugby World Cup after suffering severe concussion - even though he was kept on the field of play after the shocking head injury. He was segregated from team mates on a youth tour of South Africa as a 17-year-old and kicked out of a restaurant - and then turned down a £32,000 cash handout to go back years later. He was abused from the crowd when playing for Bridgend. But still he says rugby is a game he loves. In conversation with Peter Jackson he discusses the future of the game in the light of the Black Lives Matter movement, saying doing nothing about racism is no longer an option. Show less
