Episode 10

Duration: 44 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC One HDLatest broadcast: on BBC One Channel Islands HD

In today’s programme, the keepers at the park face a challenge from some territorial lions who are attacking their vehicles whenever they go off-road. But could one of the female lions, Sweetpea, have an underlying medical condition that’s causing her aggression?

Ben helps set up an experiment to find out if the Cuban crocodiles, Fang and Kayo, can perform the famous death roll.

Did you know that parrots are so loud they can be heard up to five miles away? Jean Johansson risks her ear drums to hear a parrot impersonate a duck.

There is great excitement at the park as Maya, a new female red panda, arrives. It is hoped that she will mate with male AJ and provide a new bloodline for this endangered species. But with female red pandas only fertile for one month, it might be some time before we hear the pitter patter of tiny paws. Show less
