In today’s programme, Kate meets Blue, an ostrich with an identity problem. He seems to think he’s a zebra, and while he’s hanging out with his stripy friends, he’s neglecting his parental duties.

Giant otters Inny and Gordit are a handful, and cleaning their mucky enclosure is a major logistical challenge. It takes two days just to empty the vast pool of water before power washing the filthy glass can begin. Luckily, Ben gets to welcome the otters back in when all the hard work has been done by the keepers.

Jean Johansson discovers that lions will stop at nothing to get their food. She watches as these magnificent creatures jump and climb up trees to get their teeth into some hide.
