Kate Humble and Ben Fogle are back for another special episode packed full of stories from the host of exotic animals living in the heart of Wiltshire.
On today’s show, the keepers have noticed young amur tigers Red and Yana appear to be in the mood for love. Everyone has got their fingers crossed that this burgeoning romance might just herald the arrival of cubs – the first tiger babies for nearly 20 years. But are they still too young to be parents? Are the team reading too much into the early signs? In the hope that Yana might be about to be a mum, Kate helps prepare a maternity unit at the Tiger House.
But it is not only the tigers who have coupled up! Keeper Kim has reason to believe that Maroni the anteater and her partner Bonito are expecting their own bundle of joy. The team are thrilled at the prospect of welcoming another member of this endangered species to the park.
Meanwhile, Jean Johansson pays a visit to a lemur who is nursing a broken heart following the death of her love. Can Jean help down-in-the-dumps Ida adjust to a single life?
And Kate meets a keeper who goes above and beyond to look after the creatures he loves and joins him to find out which aquatic animal is the fussiest on the park. Show less
