Kate Humble and Ben Fogle are back at Longleat Safari Park for an episode that is jam-packed with new life. There has been a baby boom in Monkey Jungle, with 15 born in just three days. Ben meets park veteran Ian Turner to find out just why there has been such a surge in the population. He catches a glimpse of the lothario who has fathered all of these tiny new arrivals and is surprised to learn that despite his playboy ways, he is a modern father and has fully immersed himself in his parental duties!
Elsewhere, another new parent hasn’t been so lucky and her hours-old baby is in great danger. It is a keeper's worst nightmare. A new reindeer calf has become weak and is now unable to suckle from its mother. As the little calf fades away in the arms of a keeper, can the team possibly find a way to save its life?
Over in Animal Adventure, keepers are primed and ready to capture the first critical moments of life for a pair of rainbow lorikeets as they train a nest-cam on a pair of eggs. Jean Johansson pays them a visit to watch the magical moment unfold.
And in Jungle Kingdom, keepers step in to save a bullied meerkat who has been turned on by its family, but will their rescue attempt work? Show less
