Maddie is playing outdoors. She finds out how we move our bodies to keep a hula hoop up in the air and learns how a hula hoop uses something called centripetal force to keep it moving around in a circle. Maddie attaches a tiny special camera to the hula hoop so we can see centripetal force in action!
Next, Maddie heads to a tent factory to see how they are made. She sees how lots of pieces of a waterproof material called nylon are cut out in one go using a special table that pushes out air to help the material move around. Then she uses her time-lapse camera to put up her own tent so we can see how all the parts of a tent work together to help it stay up and keep us dry from the rain. Show less
