Three months have passed. Kaya is living with Dan and Emily and is enjoying her new lifestyle. But James has his reservations about this arrangement. He is concerned that Kaya is being exploited and has questions about how much Dan and Emily really know about her past.
Dan is preparing for a public consultation regarding his latest property development, the New East End. His lawyer, Souter, knows a project this ambitious could make or break the company, so he wants Dan’s full attention. But Kaya is proving to be a distraction and Souter is suspicious that her background doesn’t quite check out. On top of this, Souter faces questions from a young and ambitious journalist, Eleanor, who is convinced there’s a story to be found behind Dan’s meteoric rise.
