London, Spring 1963. Christine finds herself a pariah in both London society and its West Indian communities. She has moved out of Stephen Ward’s Marylebone flat, but her stalker, ‘Lucky’ Gordon, is still on the prowl. She is also frustrated that the tabloid has yet to publish her story.
Meanwhile, Dr Stephen Ward reports the suspicious theft of some of his private photographs, and persistent rumours force minister of war John Profumo into more denials and threats of legal action. At the same time, Mandy Rice Davies is enjoying her newfound press exposure. But the sordid tales of London’s society sex parties and affairs with young models embarrass Christine’s family. With Johnny’s trial approaching, Christine considers running away from her problems. Show less
