Wales on The Crown, the Joy of Text and Cerys's cultural cookbook

Duration: 28 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Radio Wales FMLatest broadcast: on BBC Radio Wales MW

Gary Raymond and his guests cast a critical eye on what's going in in the Welsh arts scene. This month he is joined by poet Clare Potter and writer and broadcaster Simon Wright.

The panel explore how Netflix's royal drama The Crown treat Wales and Welsh issues in the episodes focusing on the Aberfan tragedy and the Investiture of Prince Charles. They visit The Closer We Are - an exhibition in Swansea's Elysium gallery which features a collaboration between artists in Wales and Europe.

They reflect on BBC Radio 4's The Joy of Text, a heart-rending story of love and loss from comedian and film critic Gary Slaymaker. And they turn the pages of Where The Wild Cooks Go, a cultural recipe book created by Cerys Matthews which combines food, poetry, history and travelogue. Show less
