Barra Best swaps his day job as a weather presenter to make a journey along the River Bann, meeting along the way some of those who live, work and play on Northern Ireland’s longest river.

He begins his 100-mile journey at the source of the Bann at Slieve Muck in the Mourne Mountains, overnights at an eco farm, and learns about a unique project to reintroduce red kite birds to the landscape before cycling the towpath from the point where the Bann meets Newry Canal.

With stunning scenery brought to the screen through aerial photography, this series explores life along the River Bann. Show less
