A look at the lives of some of Glasgow’s young generation of Gaels in Scotland’s biggest city.

The wait is finally over and Anton and Alisha are now parents to a little baby girl. They take daughter Amaiya into the nursery where Anton works. The children are amazed by such a tiny human but have some unusual theories about her.

Mia has a night on the town planned with pals from college. She admits struggling to balance her sporting commitments with socialising and the lure of Glasgow’s nightlife.

Iona is learning to drive and things don’t go quite to plan on a drive out with her dad. After a sticky start and some choice language they try some bay parking.

Kyle is back at home on the croft in Benderloch with his Hebridean sheep. Although Glasgow and its pubs and nightlife have a pull for Kyle, so does home.

Sùil air beatha Ghàidheil òga Ghlaschu, ginealach ùr sa bhaile is motha an Alba.

Tha an nighean bheag aig Anton is Alisha air ruighinn mu dheireadh thall. Tha iad a toirt an leanabh ùr, Amaiya, a-staigh chun a chròileigein far a bheil Anton ag obair. Cha mhòr gu bheil a’ chlann a creidsinn gun gabhadh creutair a bhi cho beag! Tha Mia a’ dol a-mach air an randan le caraidean bhon cholaisde: tha i ag aideachadh nach eil e furasta cumail ri trèanadh airson spòrs, nuair a tha na h-uibhir a’ dol an Glaschu a tha cho tarraingeach. Tha Iona ag ionnsachadh dràibheadh. Tha i muigh sa chàr cuide ri a h-athair agus chan eil cùisean buileach siùbhlach: tha guidhe no dhà ri chluinntinn mus feuch iad air pàirceadh eadar loidhnichean. Tha Kyle air ais air a chruit ann am Meudarloch far a bheil caoraich eileanach aige. Tha Glaschu is a chur-seachadan ga thàladh – ach tha ’s an dachaidh.
