It is week four and there are six designers remaining as they battle it out to win the life-changing design contract at one of London’s top hotels.
Arriving at the design studio, the contestants discover this week's task is all about designing for small spaces, and where better to test them on this but a student halls of residence. Each designer is given a small studio to design that must allow room for sleeping, studying and socialising.
Put into two teams, one team of the three and one team of four, the twist in the task this week is that as well as their student studios to revamp, between them they also have a student kitchen to redesign on a very tight budget. Michelle tells them that the team that succeeds will be safe from elimination, and someone from the losing team will be sent home.
With the prize getting ever nearer, this week some of the designers are feeling the pressure. Desperate to prove they have got what it takes, when designs start to go pear shaped it looks like their dreams could go up in smoke, and their time may be up.
Helping Michelle this week is guest judge Sophie Robinson. Renowned for her love of bold patterns and bright colours, Sophie is a highly regarded British interior stylist, designer and journalist. Show less
