The last whisky distillery in Dingwall closed in 1926. Local farmer John McKenzie wanted to revive the tradition in the area, and GlenWyvis was born: the world’s first 100 per cent community-owned distillery. We follow master distiller Duncan Tait as he creates the golden liquid.

At Highland Fine Cheeses in Tain, Rory Stone is following the 50-year-old family tradition, producing a wide variety of cheeses from blue cheese to brie.

Raasay-born Grace Noble founded Aberdeenshire Highland Beef to produce meat for the high-end market from her flock of 130 Highland cattle, but some of them, like Una, have other roles.
