These are the Warriors: a most unlikely team of football internationals. Each player has been homeless and experienced things most people can only imagine. But now they’ve been chosen to go to Mexico to represent their country, Wales, at the 2018 Homeless World Cup. It’s the chance of a lifetime, so nerves and excitement are running high. Off the pitch they’re facing even tougher battles; addiction, family breakdown and domestic violence. Kath became homeless at 18 and having slept in every hostel in the city, is striving to get her life back on track. Lauren has recently come out of rehab and finally got herself a flat to call home. Tina is in foster care but, supported by her carers, is braving her first steps to adulthood. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. But committing to 12 weeks of training - and to each other – will be no small challenge. Show less
