Air a’ lìbhrigeadh le Màiri Anna NicUalraig agus Dòmhnall Eòghainn MacFhionghain. Chaidh Seirm a chlàradh aig àm fèis Celtic Connections anns an Fhaoilleach, 2019. Anns a’ phrògram seo tha feadhainn den luchd-ciùil as fheàrr bhon fhèis. Tha cùrsa-beatha suaicheanta air a bhith aig Loudon Wainwright III, le tàlant nàdarra an sgrìobhaiche mar phàirt dhe. Tha Wainwright cho geur ’s a bha e riamh, agus e a’ toirt ionnsaigh air na seann òrain le dealas. Gaisgeach folk is bluegrass, tha Tim O’Brien na sheinneadair innleachdail, na shàr sgrìobhaiche agus comasach air iomadh ionnsramaid ciùil a làimhseachadh. Sa phrògram seo tha a bhinneas a’ faighinn togail bho cho-sheinn bhlàth a chèile Jan Fabricius. Tha an sgrìobhaiche òran Gillebrìde Mac ’IlleMhaoil a’ tighinn gu Hillhead Bookclub le pasgan de na h-òrain ùra aige fhèin agus le taic-ciùil foghainteach bho chòmhlan ioma-thàlantach.

Presented by Mary Ann Kennedy and Dòl Eòin MacKinnon, Seirm was recorded during Celtic Connections in January 2019 and features some of the best musicians from the festival. Loudon Wainwright III has enjoyed a remarkable career in music and has a natural songwriting gift. Armed only with a guitar, Wainwright is as sharp as ever, tearing into his back catalogue with considerable gusto. Tim O’Brien is a veteran of folk and bluegrass, a versatile singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Here, his sound is given a melodic lift with a warm harmony vocal from O’Brien’s partner Jan Fabricius, supplementing his own considerable gifts as a talented musician and interpreter of songs. Composer Gillebrìde MacMillan brings a formidably talented band to Hillhead Bookclub to lend sonic heft to a clutch of his brand new songs.
